Devon has sold original fine art paintings and prints to Bob Burden (Creator of Mystery Men and Flaming Carrot), James Warren (publisher of Creepy and Eerie), Pixar, and Jim Henson Company. He has shown in galleries all over the west coast including Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, and Portland. Devon is best known for breaking genre barriers and bringing his visual style to any project he is involved with. One fan referred to his work as the link between Tim Burton and John Waters. Devon’s work can move seamlessly through fine art, horror, comics, tattoo and hot rod cultures, bringing with him a wide a varied fan base. Devon has been highlighted in International Tattoo Art magazine as the artist of the month, which has featured other heavy hitters such as Glen Barr, Shag, and Todd Schorr. Devon has been marked "Certified Cool" by Previews Magazine for Tales of Hot Rod Horror, a comic anthology that he conceived, edited and contributed to. This book also included comic big guns such as Rick Geary, David Quinn, and Andy Ristaino. Devon has also been in the featured in Fanboy Radio, front page on Newsorama.com, Brokenfrontier.com, and Java Magazine among others. Independent film directors Steve Balderson (Firecracker) & Ron Mann (Tales of the Rat Fink & Comic Book Confidential) have taken personal interest in Devon’s work. Devon will be featured in one of the upcoming volumes of Goosebumps Graphic Novels from Scholastic. Devon is a recent inductee to the NWHP (North West Horror Professionals) a group that includes writer Bruce Holland Rogers and artist Alan Clarke (Bedtimes Stories to Darken Your Dreams). He is currently working on a a TV show and graphic with Sean Hemak for "The Swingin Scary Larry and Gagert Show", a follow up story for Disney’s Haunted Mansion comics, and a cryptozoology encyclopedia. |
